Microphone Not Working After Windows 10 Upgrade

This morning I upgraded the Windows 8.1 operating system on our family’s Dell Inspiron 5348 to Windows 10 Home, only to discover that the microphone does not appear to work after the upgrade.

In order to use my internal mic again, I needed to roll back the driver version. The privacy settings are working properly. It sounds good. The inbuilt microphone on my computer is not picking up any sound at all.
