After installing the latest update for Windows 10, your microphone might not work.
Examine the driver for the microphone.

First things first, check to see that your microphone is securely attached to your computer. The next step is to ensure that your personal computer is able to accurately detect the microphone by navigating to the Sound setting via the taskbar.

Select Sound by using the context menu that appears after you right-click the speaker icon on the taskbar.

Navigate to the tab labeled Recording. Check to see if the Microphone you’re using is in the list. Assuming this is the case, right-click it and select the Enable option from the context menu (if it wasn’t already enabled). After that, select the Microphone icon a second time, and then select the Set Default option. This could put an end to the problem.

Additionally, make sure that your microphone is not muted by selecting the Microphone from the list and then clicking on the Properties button. Attend Levels tab. Adjust the volume to a level where it can be heard frequently, and check that the mute button is not activated.
