When scrolling through most websites in Google Chrome, there is a significant amount of lag. Additionally, there are times when videos played through the browser have a low frame rate (FPS) and exhibit lag. It is not my internet connection because other browsers do not have the same issue, and my connection is hardwired with a speed of 150/75 mbps.
I am using the Anniversary Edition of Windows 10 currently. During my time using Windows 7 Ultimate, I never encountered any problems. Even though my computer is quite powerful, I’m beginning to suspect that the issue lies with Chrome.
Since I have a lot of RAM, I am aware that this might not be a problem at all. Even more than that, I have HyperX Fury 32GB RAM operating at 2666MHz. Despite this, Chrome appears to use a considerable amount of memory, approximately 200-550 MB per tab.
I’m not sure if there are any compatibility issues with Windows 10, but it’s possible. I’ve done some looking around, but I haven’t come across very much. The only option that presented itself was to demonstrate smooth scrolling, so I gave that a shot. Unfortuitously, it did not have any effect.
2.Lag when scrolling in Chrome
