How to Fix IncrediMail Error BREAKPOINT (80000003)

The article “How to Fix IncrediMail Error BREAKPOINT (80000003)” is displayed for our perusal here.

When you launch IncrediMail, a small error popup appears at the top of the screen with the following error message: “IncrediMail has encountered a problem and desires to quit.” We feel terrible about causing you any inconvenience. In addition, the following is mentioned inside the Crash Details after the error: “Exception: BREAKPOINT” (80000003). Faulting Offset: 00132BD2, Module: KERNELBASE.dll

This problem manifested itself on your machine because Windows installed an update on or around the 31st of December 2015 that is incompatible with IncrediMail. This update might be a security update for the plug-in known as Flash Player, which is necessary for IncrediMail to function properly. After the update has been applied, the features will be altered, and compatibility with Flash Player and IncrediMail will be reduced. As you’ll see further down in the crash details, the files that it supplies are numerous different instances of the Flash.ocx file. The Windows Update Knowledge Base number for this particular update is KB3132372.

To fix this issue, all you need to do is uninstall this update, and to do that on a computer running Windows 8 or 10, go to the Control Panel, hold down the Windows key, and press the X key. From the contextual menu, select Control Panel, and then on the top of things Panel, on the highest right, look for updates by typing updates.

After selecting View Installed Updates from the menu, you will need to wait a few moments for the list of available updates to appear.
Once that is complete, find the update that is labelled KB3132372, double-click it, and then select the option to uninstall it.
Make sure that IncrediMail is closed before beginning this process, and keep it closed while you work. You’ll be able to defer installing this update until Microsoft or IncrediMail issues another one to fix the issue or provide a patch for it.
After the update has been removed, navigate to this page to get the wushowhide.diagcab file, then open it and run the associated programme. After entering your information in the appropriate box next to KB3132372, click the Next button. And Next once again, a notification will appear stating that “this is, after all, a “troubleshooter” — that’s it.
