Google sign-in on third-party websites will soon be easier
Google’s single sign-on (SSO), services have been offering something other than password managers to protect online accounts. Signing up for services that support “Sign in With Google” APIs doesn’t require users to keep or create their credentials. However, the process of using this API has not been easy. Google has now made it easier to sign in by combining all of its sign-in options under the same Google Identity Services umbrella.
Although it’s not difficult to sign in to a website or service with your Google account, it can be disruptive. Clicking on the sign-in button will take you to a page that allows you to log in to your Google Account. This can disrupt your flow, or it could be used to steal the method.
Google’s One Tap sign-in is part of the Google Identity Services consolidation. The prompt will appear at the top of desktop browsers. However, mobile devices will not see the prompt and instead see a slide-up panel that slides up from the bottom. You will still need to click on the button to sign into your Google account, but it is not entirely One Tap.

This is however when you are signing certain the first time under the new APIs. When you return to the location, the button Sing in with Google will display the Google account that you have checked in the most recently. This makes it an easy One-Tap process.
Google promises web developers that it is easy to implement their new APIs. They also get the benefit of not having to manage account security systems. Google Identity Services protects against clickjacking and pixel tracker since Google wants all Google accounts to be secure.
